Our Story

From Seed to Flower: Students Bring a New Idea to Life

In August 2023, a group of 15 students from eight schools in New Hampshire and Massachusetts gathered at a “mini-conference” hosted by Safe Schools to discuss new approaches to mental health. Megan Tupaj, a student then, now a Safe Schools board member, introduced the concept of a mental health website run by students for students. Every student at the conference loved the idea, and a few started to put this vision into place.

Over time we developed the idea and sharpened its focus. We tested it at a student conference in Hanover, and the students expressed how valuable and utilized a website like this would be.

Many students have helped develop this idea and website: Madison McAlpine, Andrew Coleman, Hannah Murphy, Skye Caro-Ward and Matt Schultz. Mark Phillips of Safe Schools has provided continuous support from the start.
